American Osteopathic Board of Preventive Medicine

ABMS reciprocityABMS-certified DOs are now offered exam-free pathway to AOA board certification. Physicians with a current, valid certification from an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member board may qualify for AOA initial board certification without sitting for the initial AOA board examination(s) and be eligible to enter the AOA’s Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC) process in the specialty and/or subspecialty for which they have ABMS certification. The application fee for reciprocal certification is $0 for AOA members and $299 for non-members.
